The second workshop in Paris took place from the 30th of April to the 4th of May.

A little reminder: the participants to the cinema workshop are 18 and the participants to the photography workshop are 19. The photographers work individually on their work project when the filmmakers work in groups of 3 people. Two of them are directing and one is in charge of the editing. Two trainers photographers are helping them: Stephane Charpentier and Munever Salihovic. The filmmakers were supervised by Renaud Personnaz (director of photography), Bruno Oliviero (director) and Dominique Pâris (Chief Editor).

The first day was the occasion to make the point on the works of all the participants since the first workshop.

In the cinema workshop, all the filmmakers watched and discussed the shootings of the 6 groups. After this first point, the directors continue to shoot. The editors, with the directors, went to the editing rooms and began to work on first editing footages.

This second workshop is an important moment: each group can stop and watch his project with new eyes : they can discuss the point of view on their subject and appreciate what has already been shot and what still has to be shot to make a film.

In the photography workshop, the two first days were also the occasion for the participants to make the point on their works. Each photographer could talk about his project, how he has working on it, and showed some of his first pictures. Thanks to the collaboration of everybody, they have been able to confront their experiences, and give ach other some advice. First all together, then in smaller groups of 4 or 5 people each. For the photographers, this second workshop was the moment to organize their work for the next weeks until the third workshop.

The third and last workshop will take place in July. In the cinema workshop, the participants will work on the editing of the films. They will have one week to finalize and edit the entire film, which should last around 20 minutes each. In the photography workshop, the participants will also focus on the finalization of their works : retouchs, editing...

After the summer, in septembre, events will take place in order to show all the projects during public events. We can't wait to see the projets finished and to show them to you. Stay tuned !

Le second atelier à Paris s'est déroulé du 30 avril au 4 mai.

Pour cette semaine, les cinéastes sont toujours 18 et les photographes toujours 19. Rappelons que les photographes travaillent chacun sur leur projet, de manière individuelle. Alors que les cinéastes travaillent par groupe de 3 sur le même film : deux participants se concentrent sur la réalisation et un sur le montage. Les photographes sont encadrés par les formateurs et photographes Stéphane Charpentier et Munever Salihovic. Les cinéastes sont aidés par Renaud Personnaz (chef opérateur) et Bruno Oliviero (réalisateur) et la chef monteuse Dominique Paris.

Le premier jour permit à tous les participants de faire le point sur leurs travaux avec les encadrants. Dans l'atelier de cinéma, les rushes tournés par les différentes équipes de films ont été visionnés et commentés par tout le monde. Après ce premier bilan, les réalisateurs ont continué à tourner. Et de leur côté, les monteurs, encadrés par la chef monteuse Dominique Paris, ont commencé à dérusher la totalité des tournages et à monter de courtes premières séquences.

Ce second atelier est un moment charnière : chaque groupe fait le point sur son projet et la direction à donner au film. Le visionnage des rushes permet de se rendre compte de qui pourra être intégré ou non au futur film.

Dans l'atelier de photographie, les deux premiers jours furent également consacrés à faire le point. Chaque photographe a parlé de l'avancée de son projet, a montré certains clichés aux encadrants et aux autres participants. Chacun a pu échanger, donner son avis, donner des conseils aux autres. D'abord tous ensemble - à 19 - puis par plus petits groupes de 4 ou 5. Il s'agit pour les photographes d'organiser leur travail pendant les prochaines semaines jusqu'au troisième atelier. D'exposer leurs difficultés et de trouver des pistes pour les résoudre - grâce au partage d'expérience.

La troisième et dernière semaine d'atelier aura lieu en juillet. Pour les participants à l'atelier cinéma, cette semaine sera intensive et entièrement consacré au montage des films. Pour les participants à l'atelier photographie, elle sera également consacrée à la finalisation des projets : retouches de photos, montage, mise en forme du projet...

À partir de la rentrée de septembre, différents événements seront organisés pour montrer tous les travaux réalisés au public ! Toutes les informations seront disponibles par ici.
