Description
We are what we eat. Effectively food we eat can show us a lot of our history. The same history of considered ‘common’ food, as tomato, can show us how intricate are our cultures. And culture, we should know, started from cultivate plants for our own nutrition. Tomato history is special, it was born in Central America and when arrived in Europe it was considered for 300 years as a dangerous food, an odd immigrated veggie, and it was used for other curious purposes. Only in the 1800 it enters the kitchen as a food, and finally started its amazing career.
