Why do you participate in Artists@Work? What do you expect from this experience?

I participate in this workshop because everything about art is interesting for me. I like to draw and paint but honestly I do not know much about comics, its rules and how it has to be drawn and that is the reasond why I am here, to learn about, for me, new types of art. Last but not least, meeting new people, creating new friendships, hearing others people opinion and ideas for our project. And we are houner to talk with profesionals who are here to help and teach us new things about art.

Explain the main thematics of your project

I am working on a group project with my friend Emina. At the beginning we had two ideas, first one was with dominos and the second was a concrete example of social problems, and then we connected them into this one. The main thematics in our project is that we are all inevitably connected in some way, every way possible, every person out there in the world is connected. Our actions are like waves touching all things. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. What one person does effects another and so on, like dominoes, if first of them falls and the second one will too and this keeps going until we are all fallen. Dominoes in our story are showing todays society.

Explain the different stages of production of your work

When we heard about this topic and that we need make a comic based on it, first we collected all important stuff about coruption and social problems, then we talked between us about it and with our friends, parents and professors, and came to an idea about domino. Later, we changed our mind and as a main character was choosen an invidual who is a main problem. Thinking about both we got an idea to connect them and domino effect became our final theme

Explain the choice of the title

Fou our story we choosed the title “Domino effect”, which represents the sitution where one event sets of a chain of additional events.
