I applied to Artist@work in order to work on a project for a long time, to have constructive critics, to improve my photography skills, to meet photographers, drawers, video makers and, perhaps, to create some partnerships.
In Metz, every year since 2011, the same refugee camp has been dimanstled (to see where exactly is, have a look on the pictures. It's in front of waste treatment station). Before December, around 1.000 persons, mostly Eastern migrants, were living in Blida’s camp. 100 has been sent in CRA (Centre de rétention administrative / detention center), 600 has been accomodated and 200 have not. I want to follow these ones.
They are now living in occupied gyms, schools, in the streets or under bridges. If volunteers had not been there, they would have been nothing.
The goal for this project is the creation of an audio slide-show with sounds, videos, photographies, interveiws... with the aim, for Blida's migrants, of contemplating 2018. What is going on now ? Is there a future for them somewhere ?
I scheduled an agenda of work. I've planned all my week-end to record sounds, to shoot, to interview, to collect archives images... The aim for next session on May, is to have as many files possible I can to be able to start the 'real' first editing.
The title choice is not set in the stone, I actually don’t know how to call the project, every piece of advice is welcome :)))
