I want to take this opportunity to talk about a topic that is very dear to me.

By participating in this project I want to take the opportunity to express my thoughts and my perplexities concerning the theme of the slow and "inexorable" abandonment of small inhabited centers. I want to pay tribute to my country and to my fellow citizens, and leave them with questions that often darken my mind.

My project deals with the issue of youth emigration, often internal to Italy, which affects a very high percentage of people.

This phenomenon mainly affects small towns far from the metropolis.

My gaze will be aimed at understanding how and how much the lack of mass from the small centers influences the evolution of the countries that suffer a severe blow, from the economic point of view but also socio-cultural.

I will start by telling what happened to my country, which, in addition to being hit by this phenomenon, has suffered the transfer of many families because of the recent earthquakes that hit Central Italy.

What does the silence that reigns in the small streets of the town tell? How does this absence live who has remained to live there? How much more would it matter if those who went away brought back the skills and knowledge that they absorbed elsewhere?

First there will be a research phase, mainly based on interviews to reconstruct a brief history of the past of my country and then the moods of the people.

 

Graphically I would like to keep two different graphical registers.

In the part where I present the territory in fact I would like to be more descriptive (color vignettes with mixed technique), but in the most analytical part I would like to use one or two colors and a more stylized design style.
